• Size H, 5.00 mm crochet hook
• Medium weight cotton yarn (size 4), I used Lily Sugar n’ Cream
• Blunt needle

Gauge:

12 sts x 14 rows of pattern= 4″ square

Abbreviations:

hk- hook

ch- chain

st(s)- stitch(es)

sc- single crochet

hslst- half double crochet slip stitch

sl st- slip stitch

Special Stitches:

hslst- half double crochet slip stitch:

Yarn over, insert your hook into the next st, yarn over and pull through the stitch and the 2 loops on your hook.

Pattern:

Ch 22

Row 1: Hslst in 3rd ch from the hk and each st to end, turn (20).

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (20).

Row 3: Ch 1, hslst in each st across, turn (20).

Repeat rows 2 and 3, 10 more times for a total of 21 rows.

Do not fasten off on last row.

Continue to sc evenly around the entire dishcloth with 2 sc in each corner.

Sl st in first st and fasten off.

Weave in ends.
