How To Make A Seashell Picture Frame

Why use boring picture frames for those photos when you can make this gorgeous seashell picture frame. This frame will be perfect for the summer and definitely add to your home interior. It’s a great craft for any age and you can also use it as a bonding craft with your kids. Get those seashells from those tropical trips of yours and enjoy how they can be put to good use.

Materials needed:

  • 9″ x 11″ Wooden picture frame with 2” flat border (for 5″ x 7″ photo)
  • Starfish, 4″
  • 8-10 Large white seashells, turbo and conch-style, 1½” to 2″
  • 5-7 Large white, clam/scallop shells, 1½” to 2″
  • 10-12 Large white shells, cone and miter-style , 2″ to 2½”
  • 40-50 Medium white shells, various, ¾” to 1½”
  • 70- 80 Small white shells, various, ¼” to ¾”
  • 68 Small cone shells (for inside border), ¼” to ½”
  • 60 Pearl beads, 4mm
  • 1 Half-pearl, 3mm
  • 5 Half-pearls, 5mm

  • Foam paintbrush
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Masking tape
