Crochet Baby Blue Blanket

Yarn: Bernat Super Value, Medium 4. Colour 'Light Navy'.
Yarn: Bernat Super Value, Medium 4. Colour ' Soft Mint'.
Yarn: Bernat Super Value, Medium 4. Colour 'Topaz' (Looks like light brown to me)
5.5 mm hook

Gauge
Approximately 2 'shells' = 4 inches.
Approximately 4 'shell' rows = 4 inches.
Blanket measures approximately 21x36 inches.


Note: You may decide to weave in ends as you go, or weave them all in the end.

Starting with Cool Blue Yarn
Row 1:
Ch 74. Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next 2 chs. *Ch 3, sk next 3 ch's, sc in next 3 ch's.* Repeat from * to * across. Ch 3, sk next 3 ch's. Sc in last 2 ch's. Ss to join new yarn (Navy). Fasten off Blue. Ch 1. Turn.
Row 2:
Sc in 2nd sc. *5 dc in ch 3 sp, sc in 2nd sc of 3 sc group.* Repeat from * to * across. Ss to join new yarn (Topaz). Fasten off Navy. Turn.
Row 3:
*Ch 3, sc in ea of centre 3 dc's.* Repeat from * to * across. Ch 2. Sc in turning ch. Ss to join new yarn (Mint) Fasten off Topaz. Ch 3. Turn
Row 4:
2 dc in ch 2 sp.*Sc in 2nd sc, 5 dc in ch 3 sp*. Repeat from * to * across. Sc in 2nd sc. 3 dc in ch 3 sp. Ss to join new yarn (Navy). Fasten Off Mint. Ch 1. Turn.

Border
Round 1:
Ss to join new yarn(Blue) in corner st. Ch 2, sc in same st. Evenly sc around. Ss to join new yarn(Mint). Fasten off blue.
Round 2:
Do not turn. Ch 3, hdc in same st(corner). *Ch 1, sk next st, hdc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around, placing (hdc, ch1, hdc) all in ea corner st.
Round 3:
Ss to join new yarn(Topaz). Fasten off Mint. Do not turn. Sc in post of first hdc(corner). *Ch 1, sc in next hdc post.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 4:
Do not turn. Ss to next ch sp. Ss to join new colour (Navy). Fasten off Topaz. Ss under mint ch sp (2 rows previous). Ch 6, hdc under mint ch sp (2 rows previous). *Ch 1, sc under topaz ch sp (1 row previous).* Repeat from * to * around, placing (hdc, ch 4, hdc) all in ea corner, working the hdc's under to mint ch(2 rows previous). Ss in ch 2 of 6 to join. Fasten off.
