How to Make a Flannel and Minky Baby Blanket

A minky and flannel baby blanket is the perfect gift for a new arrival. It is warm, soft and cozy. This project is easy to make and can be completed in just a few hours. This is a basic pattern that you can use to make any size blanket. The pattern is made up of two pieces, a flannel top and a minky bottom. The minky is a very soft fabric. It can be made out of several different materials including fleece or microfibre.

Materials needed:

  • 1 ¼ yards of Minky Fabric
  • 1 ¼ yards of Flannel Fabric
  • 4 Yards Jumbo Ric Rack Trim OR
  • ½ yard Flannel (for bias flange)
  • Long straight pins
