Upcycled Denim Storage Bins

Before you throw that pair of jeans away, stop! Do you know that you can upcycle your denim jeans and make some really cool storage bins! This will be great not only for protecting the environment by recycling but also helping your home be more organized. The advantages of following the step-by-step instructions are just so many that we cannot afford to lose this great opportunity.

Materials needed:

  • ½ yard of fabric from a pair of upcycled denim jeans (this is your main fabric)
  • ½ yard of upcycled fabric from scraps of left-over fabric (this is your lining)
  • ½ yard of light or medium weight fusible interfacing
  • Sewing machine
  • Fabric scissors
  • Cotton thread
  • Pins or sewing clips
  • Cutting mat, rotary cutting, and ruler
  • Iron and ironing board
