How To Shorten Zippers

Sewing

Have you got zippers that are longer than required? I got you! Today, I’ll be sharing a simple tutorial on how to shorten your zippers. We will also add fabric tabs to make sewing easier. In less than thirty minutes you should have your zippers shortened!

Materials needed:

  • a (longer than needed) standard nylon coil zipper
  • 2 pieces of scrap fabric for tabs (2 inch by 1.5 inch each)
  • sewing machine /needle
  • sewing thread
  • scissors
  • measuring tape
