DIY Cast Iron Skillet Handle Cover

Do you cook with cast iron pans and pots? If yes, then you can agree with me that the handles get extremely hot and can burn your hands. This can make cooking really uncomfortable. To prevent all of this, it’s advisable to use cast iron skillet handle covers.

Materials needed:

• ¼ yard of cotton fabric
• 1-2”x8” scrap piece of cotton fabric for bias trim, which has been pressed in half lengthwise and then pressed in half again and cut in half.
• ¼ yard of Insul Brite
• Free Printable Skillet Handle Cover Pattern
• Matching thread
• Sewing pins or clips
• Scissors
• Rotary cutter and mat
• Iron and ironing board or iron mat
