How to Sew a Handlebar Bag for a Bike

I`m so happy warm days are here. I can say that I`m a sporty person and I really enjoy riding on my bike these sunny days. As for my kids, they spend practically all day outside playing, riding and so on. Have you ever noticed that every child likes taking some toys outside and also picking different rocks, sticks and so on? To store all these things they need some place. SO I have found one good idea and today we`ll sew a handlebar bag for a kid`s bike!

Things you need:

  • A fat quarter of your main fabric and a fat quarter of your lining fabric
  • A small piece of elastic
  • A button for the closure, something around 3/4″-1″ works great
  • Snaps or velcro to attach the bag to the bike
  • Sewing machine and basic sewing supplies
