How to Grow a Crystal
I think that making some experiments is the best way not only to have fun time together with your kids, but also to encourage their learning activity and curiosity. It`s very important to ask some questions and explain the process while doing the experiment, otherwise all your work will be in vain and kids will have just fun and that`s it. So following this tutorial I offer you to grow a crystal with your children.
Things you need:
- chenille pipe cleaners
- clear glue
- food coloring
- about 8 ounces of alum powder
- string
- several one-quart mason jars
- an old watercolor paint brush
- dowels for hanging your crystals (like pencils or a wooden spoon)
