Modern Honeycomb Shawl

This shawl is worked in the round from the bottom up. The body is a series of simple stockinette stitches, with a garter stitch border. The honeycomb pattern is created by knitting each row of the stockinette stitch body in one direction, then reversing direction to purl the next row. Each reverse row creates the bumps in the fabric; once the shawl has been knitted, it will need to be blocked in order to expand and fill in the gaps between the bumps. This project is easy to make for all with the simple stated materials.

Materials needed:

  • Yarn
  •  Crochet hook 4.0 mm (G)
  • Yarn Needle
  • Stitch Marker
