Farmhouse Wall-Mounted Mug Rack

A good organization of your possessions is a huge part of the order and peace at your home. Today we`ll go to your kitchen. How good are your plates and mugs organized? If you`re not happy with your answer, this project is absolutely for you.

Let`s start!

Things you need:

  • 2 Mop/Broom handles
  • 4-5 Over-the-Door Hooks
  • Black Zip Ties
  • Black sharpie
  • Tape Measure
  • E6000 Glue
  • Pliers
  • Hammer
  • Wire Clippers
  • Carbon Mist (Black) Metallic Spray Paint

Step 1.

Take apart the mop/broom so you only have the pole left. I chose a mop so I could use the sponge head for cleaning later.

Step 2.

Use pliers to bend the part at the top of the hooks to be flat. Use a hammer to flatten as best as possible.

Step 3.

Use the wire clippers to cut one set of hooks (I left all of mine on except for the top piece, which I clipped off).

Step 4.

Measure and mark 14 inches between each row for the 4-row rack OR measure and mark 10 inches between each rack for the 5-row rack.

Step 5.

Start gluing and zip tieing one side of the rack first (don’t do both sides otherwise both poles will be rolling all over the place, lol). Apply the glue to the pole at your mark, place the rack on the pole, then use 2 zip ties to hold in place.

Step 6.

Repeat the above step until one side is complete, then complete the other side.

Step 7.

Once the glue and zip ties are applied, you can spray paint (in my opinion it looks better black)! I used carbon mist metallic spray paint.

Step 8.

Let the paint dry and hang using anchors for the most support. I drilled right through the pipe to hang my rack.
