How to Upcycle a Candle Jar into a Cute Pincushion

Today we’re going to learn how to upcycle a candle jar into a cute pin cushion. If you have those empty jars then it’s definitely time to put them to good use by making some pincushions. I just love to make pincushions because they’re super cute and perfect for providing safety in the home environment or workspace. So friends, beginners, it’s time to make a beautiful pincushion as this will require very little sewing skills.

Materials needed:

  • An empty old glass candle jar
  • Fabric
  • Mod Podge and a brush
  • Fibre fill
  • Strong thread (or regular sewing thread doubled up)
  • A button
  • A long sewing needle 
  • Hot glue and a glue gun
