How to make a DIY Rice Heating Pad

Did you sprain your back? Are your shoulders hurting? Do you need to relax after a long stressful day? Well, I have something that will definitely solve all that problem. Today we are going to learn how to make a DIY rice heating pad. This will help you relax your nerves, help you relax and unwind and give you that special massage affect you need.

Materials needed:

  • Front fabric – 9 x 23”, 100% cotton
  • Back fabric 9 x 23”, 100% cotton or soft cotton fleece
  • 6 cups of uncooked rice for filling (you can also use other organic fillers such as corn, beans or flaxseed)
  • cotton thread
  • scissors (or rotary cutter and a cutting mat)
  • ruler or measuring tape
  • iron and ironing board
  • sewing clips or pins
  • sewing machine
  • optional: essential oil (just a drop of your favorite) or few lavender buds will give your heating pad a pleasant aroma
