How to Sew a DIY Car Trash Can

Are you tired of trash in your car? Are you tired of those scraps lying around and always having to wait to get home to put them in the bin? Maybe your kids don’t have a trashcan and that’s why they haven’t been placing those scraps in their rightful places. Well, we can solve all that problem by learning how to sew this DIY car trashcan.

Materials needed:

  • 1/2 yard of cotton fabric for the exterior and the straps
  • 1/2 yard of coordinating cotton fabric for the lining and binding
  • 1/4 yard of Peltex 72F double sided fusible stabilizer
  • a 1” rectangle ring (a 1” d-ring will work fine too if that is what you have on hand
  • 5” or more of 3/4” wide or 1” wide sew in hook and loop tape (velcro)
  • 3 plastic Kam snaps
  • Fray Check seam sealant
