Homemade Chocolate Mint Lip Balm – Natural DIY Lip Care

The perfect winter lip balm recipe, homemade white chocolate mint lip balm is nourishing for dry lips and smells amazing. This peppermint lip balm recipe is made with completely natural ingredients. It gets its chocolate scent from the raw cocoa butter (or cacao butter) in the recipe and just a hint of peppermint essential oil adds that lovely mint tingle. Lip balm is one of my favorite beauty DIYs because it always turns out so wonderful! Yes, you can purchase natural and organic lip balm for inexpensive, but you can make it for even cheaper.

Plus, homemade lip balm can be customized however you like, so you can make the perfect tin (or tube) of amazing lip balm for you!

I love DIY lip balm as an inexpensive gift idea as well – think stocking stuffers, small teacher gifts or gifts for kids. Everyone loves lip balm, am I right? Plus, this white chocolate mint lip balm is perfect for the holiday season. I mean, who doesn’t love the mint and chocolate combo??

This natural lip balm recipe is different than lots of others you’ll find on the world wide web. It is made without shea butter or coconut oil. I do have a lip balm recipe with shea butter that I love just as much as this one, but I leave it out for this recipe so that the chocolate really comes through! I love the combination of cocoa butter, jojoba oil, almond oil and beeswax in this DIY lip balm because it makes a luxurious feeling balm that is not too heavy on the beeswax (read: not waxy and stiff). DIY lip care has never smelled so good!
