DIY Mason Jar Soap Dispenser

Mason jars have become so popular lately. They are one of my favorite things! And they’re not just for canning anymore. We use them as drinking glasses, vases, décor, and now… a really cute DIY soap pump! I am sure many of you have seen mason jar soap dispensers- they are crazy cheap to make and you probably have everything you need on hand already. I thought this would be perfect because the jars are so pretty and they really only take a few minutes. I can refill them over and over and the kids can just use a pump or two of product and not be as wasteful. Learn how to turn your mason jar into a soap pump that will look gorgeous in your kitchen or bathroom.

A nice-looking soap dispenser can really brighten up the bathroom even though it may not seem like much. It’s the details that give a space charm and make it special. With that in mind, I thought you’d enjoy the look of this Mason jar soap dispenser which is really easy to do. The only thing that takes a bit of time is waiting for the paint to dry so once that’s out of the way it’s all pretty much done.

Materials you’ll need to build a Mason Jar Soap Dispenser:

  • 1 Pint-sized mason jar with lid and band (not wide mouth)
  • 1 Soap pump. I used a pump from a soap dispenser I already had at home, but any pump will do. Even the plastic pumps on cheap handsoap bottles from the grocery store work great!
  • Lacquer white spray paint
  • Paring knife
  • Heavy-duty all-purpose glue
  • Fine grit sand paper
