DIY Custom Luggage Tags From Jeans

Sewing

Vacation time is here and why not ensure your stuff's safety by sewing these custom luggage tags from jeans yourself. Think you can't? I'm sure you can, and easily too at that, once you follow this clearly defined tutorial on the sewing procedure. Do this and you can be sure that misplacing your luggage is a thing of the past!

Materials needed:

  • denim luggage tag pattern
  • denim fabric (enough fabric to cover approximately an 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of paper)
  • 12″ strip of denim for hanging
  • stabilizer – approximately 10″ x 3″
  • clear vinyl – 4″ x 2.5″ – shower curtains, sheet sets, or other packaging are a great place to find clear vinyl to upcycle
  • 1/4″ metal grommet
  • basic sewing supplies
  • sewing clips (pins will leave permanent holes in the vinyl)
