DIY Woven Vase with Raffia

Baskets, bowls and vases made with raffia always come out looking amazing. Traveling to countries in the tropics, I often get raffia crafts as souvenirs. Yeah, the locals create a lot of cool crafts with them, even stools. I’ve gotten to love this craft and I’m still very much amazed by some artworks I see now and then. I found the tutorial for this DIY Woven Vase with Raffia and decided to share with you all.

Materials needed:

  • Party balloons
  • Bendable metal wire
  • Natural raffia
  • Paper yarn or thin jute twine
  • Plastic tapestry needle
