Hello homemakers like me. Here's a new one for our DIY projects collection. It's a wooden doormat. Yes, you heard me right, wooden door mat. The design is such that it doesn't house dirt and is very elegant. Materials needed:

- 7 lengths of 1" x 2" x 29" wood (ask someone at the hardware store to cut the usual 10-foot length to 29-inch pieces)
- 8 feet of ¼-inch cotton rope
- drill
- paint
- brush
- painter's tape
- scissors
- glue
- sealant (optional)
